The angular distribution of a reactive molecular collision is analysed
when a resonance is present. A new generic semiclassical formula invo
lving the complementary error function is derived for the scattering a
mplitude. Powerful complex angular momentum techniques are applied to
the theory of chemical reactions for the first time. Results are repor
ted for the Cl+HCl-->CIH+Cl reaction.
