Ve. Startsev et al., SCATTERING MECHANISM ELECTRON-PHONON-SURF ACES AND ITS CONTRIBUTION TO LOW-TEMPERATURE ELECTRICAL-RESISTIVITY OF METALS, Fizika nizkih temperatur, 22(8), 1996, pp. 943-948
The electrical resistivity of high-purity tungsten single crystals are
studied in the temperature range 2-40 K under size effect condition.
In the low temperature limit and in an approximation, which takes into
account the change of the electron-surface scattering probability at
small grazing angles, the resistivity calculations have been made. It
is shown that quadratic temperature contribution to the electrical res
istivity of pure metal is associated mainly with an interference betwe
en electron-phonon and electron-surface scattering. A satisfactory agr
eement is observed between the theory and the experiment.
