Abstract
This letter presents a new method to efficiently extract closed loops as primitive symbols in line drawings. Our method uses a graph search technique for efficiency and exhaustibility, and also incorporates fea sibility criteria of symbols. Experiments clearly demonstrated the met hod's effectiveness.
