Abstract
A simple method is described for the fractional release of [C-11]CO2, obtained from one irradiation. [C-11]CO2 is trapped from the target in a short column filled with ascarite, which is subsequently eluted wit h water. From this eluate[C-11]CO2 can now be released fractionally by adding a portion of it to a 1.5 M solution of citric acid. [C-11]CO2 ready for synthesis is available within 3 min from EOB.
