Abstract
Thorium to uranium ratios have been determined in different geological samples by using CR-39 and LR-115 solid-state nuclear track detectors (SSNTD). A calibration method, based an determining SSNTD registratio n sensitivity ratios for alpha-particles of the thorium and uranium se ries, has been developed. Thorium and uranium contents of samples stud ied have been determined and compared to data obtained by mass spectro metry.
