Abstract
The growth of the marine microalga Tetraseimis sp at light intensities between 7.9 and 109 W/m2 has been studied. The values of the specific growth rate fit an exponential light limitation model with mu(m) = 0. 059 h-1 and I(k) = 24.96 W/m2. The analysis of the biomass productivit y during the linear zone of growth and the final biomass concentration s shows that there are cultures under CO2 and disolved nutrients limit ation.
