Abstract
The relativistic distorted-wave method has been used to calculate elec tron impact excitation of caesium to the (6p) P-2(1/2,3/2), (5d) D-2(3 /2,5/2), (7s) S-2(I/2) and (7p) P-2(1/2,3/2) states with incident elec tron energies of 20-100 eV. The differential and integrated cross sect ions, differential and integrated Stokes parameters and generalized ST U parameters are presented.
