This paper presents a method for determination of eigenvalue derivativ
es and two exact analytical methods for determination of eigenvector d
erivatives. The methods are applicable to general viscous damped syste
ms. The key step in the methods is that the system matrix is decompose
d by QR decomposition. The desired condensed coefficient matrix is not
hing but the triangle matrix R of QR decomposition. Hence the determin
ation of eigenvector derivatives can be calculated efficiently. A nume
rical example is presented to demonstrate the validity of the methods.
