Abstract
With the microelectrode technique, the effect of proxanols (pluronics) on the electrophysiological characteristics of pacemaker and Purkinje cells of the rabbit heart was studied. The effects discovered are exp lained by the features of structures of the proxanol macromolecule. A hypothesis on the pacemaker system of the heart is put forward.
