Abstract
A group of 83 mature beef cows (2 years of age and up) that were origi nally housed together were assigned to two groups based on sequence th rough the chute at vaccination. Every other cow was vaccinated. Forty- one cows were vaccinated with two doses of bovine rotacoronavirus vacc ine (killed virus) Clostridium perfringens Type C Escherichia coli bac terin-toxoid (ScourGuard 3 (K)/C(R):SmithKline Beecham Animal Health, Exton, PA) (Group 1) and controls were established. The study indicate s the vaccine was able to decrease morbidity in this field challenge s ituation in a cost-effective manner.
