Abstract
The title complex was prepared through the reaction of (PPh(3))(2)Ag(( S2CSPr3C6H2)-C-i) formed by inserting of CS2 into Ag-S bond of Ag((SPr 3C6H2)-C-i) in the presence of PPh(3) with CH2Cl2-(PrOH)-O-i under mil d conditions. The colorless-block crystal belongs to the trigonal syst em with space group R3, a = 2. 7886(11) nm, c = 1. 0798(5) mm, V = 5. 796(4) mm(3), D-c = 1. 285 g . cm(-3), Z = 3. The final R is 0. 060 fo r 1753 reflections (F>4. 0 sigma(F)). The core of the title compound c an be considered as a planar six-membered cycle Ag3S3 of alternating s ilver and sulfur atoms. In addition, there exists a (PrOH)-O-i molecul e in the unit cell.
