Rvs. Pawaiya et K. Charan, EXPERIMENTAL PULMONARY ASPERGILLOSIS IN CALVES - HEMATOLOGICAL AND BIOCHEMICAL EVALUATION, Indian Veterinary Journal, 72(2), 1995, pp. 131-134
Since identification and subsequent reproduction of pulmonary aspergil
losis in calves by Dutta (1938), the disease has not been adequately s
tudied in India. Gill and Singh (1977) claimed the successful reproduc
tion of disease in buffalo-calves. These reports are, however, silent
on haematological and biochemical aspects. This study was undertaken t
o elaborate haematological and biochemical alterations both in sera an
d bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) in calves infected either with Aspergil
lus fumigatus spores or spores plus mycelia.
