Bu. Kumar et al., BIOCHEMICAL-CHANGES OF BLOOD AND CEREBROSPINAL-FLUID IN NERVOUS DISORDERS OF CROSSBRED LACTATING COWS, Indian Veterinary Journal, 72(2), 1995, pp. 163-166
High yielding croosbred lactating cows suffer from a variety of nervou
s disorders. The causes of these disorders are many, but the symptoms
displayed are more or less similar. The central nervous system (CNS) i
s mostly involved in the occurrence of nervous disorders. Therefore, e
xamination of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) can form a valuable addendum t
o the clinical examination and may serve as a key to the diagnosis of
different nervous disorders (Doxey, 1971). Keeping this in view the pr
esent investigation was undertaken to evaluate the alteration with CSF
and blood of cattle with nervous disorders.
