Epidural anaesthesia using bupivncaine hydrochloride is gaining import
ance in human as well as veterinary practice. The clinical symptoms, h
aematological and haemodynamic alterations of bupivacaine hydrochlorid
e were reported by many workers. (Lebeaux, 1973; Alvarex et al., 1980;
Gill et al., 1983 and Hussain and Amresh Kumar, 1988). However, liter
ature regarding the biochemicl studies during anaesthesia is very litt
le. The present work was carried out to study the biochemical alterati
ons following epidural injection of 0.5% bupivacaine hydrochloride at
different dose levels.
