Abstract
Complexes [CpTi(NR(2))(3)] (Cp* = eta(5)-C(5)Me(5); R = Me or Et) rea ct with CO2 to give the corresponding insertion products [CpTi(eta(2) -O(2)CNR(2))(3)] (R = Me (1), Et (2)). When solutions of 1-2 are expos ed to wet air a hydrolytic process takes place and leads to the format ion of the [{CpTi(eta(2)-O(2)CNR(2))}(2)(mu-O)(2)] (R = Me (3), Et (4 )). The molecular structure of 4 has been established by single crysta l X-ray analysis.
