Abstract
The new screen is designed for high removal efficiency of debris and s tickies at high accepts consistency and IGLU reject rate. It is based on the proven DeltaScreen(R) concept. The rotor is new, distinguished by the passage of feed stock up through the interior of the rotor befo re it is distributed down into the screening zone. Extensive trials wi th the new screen have been conducted at mills for DIP, OCC and MOW. T he results have surpassed our expectations. We have been able to run D IP with high removal efficiencies at accepts consistencies up to 5% an d continuous mass reject rates as low as 3% in one stage only. The rem oval efficiencies of debris, specks, hot melts and stickies have en eq uivalent to or better than state of the art low-consistency technology .
