Abstract
Poly(esterbenzoxazinone)s were prepared in two successive steps from 4 ,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane-3,3'-dicarboxylic acid and aromatic diacid dichlorides which contained preformed ester groups, via polyamic acids as intermediates. The poly(esterbenzoxazinone)s are soluble only in c oncentrated sulfuric acid. They thermally decompose in a single step b etween 400 and 500 degrees C.
