Abstract
Abolished Early Afterdepolarization by Nicorandil. We describe a 17-ye ar-old boy with idiopathic long QT syndrome and repeated syncopal epis odes, Early afterdepolarization (EAD) in the monophasic action potenti al (MAP) was demonstrated in the posterior septum of the left ventricl e, Injection of the potassium channel opener nicorandil decreased EAD and shortened MAP duration, The syncopal episodes due to ventricular f ibrillation disappeared after administration of the potassium channel opener.
