Abstract
Thirteen strains of Rift Valley fever virus were isolated from Aedes v exans and Ae. ochraceus mosquitoes collected in October and November 1 993 in northern Senegal. Entomologic and serologic data show that the risk of a new epizootic is increasing in this region.
