Abstract
From the roots of Salvia aspera, two new icetexane diterpenoids (salvi asperanol and 5,6-dihidro-6 alpha-hydroxysalviasperanol) and one new a bietane derivative (6-epi-demethylesquirolin D) were isolated in addit ion to the previously known diterpenoids sugiol, taxodione and demethy lsalvicanol. The structures of the new compounds were established by s pectroscopic means. An X-ray analysis was performed on salviasperanol.
