Abstract
A new triterpene 3 beta-hydroxy-lup-20(29)-ene-23,28-dioic acid has be en isolated from Mimusops elengi. Its structure was established throug h chemical and spectroscopic studies. The known triterpenes, beta-amyr in, lupeol, alpha-taraxerol and ursolic acid were also isolated.
