AN IRAS ATLAS OF YSOS IN NEARBY DARK CLOUDS

We are using the new IRAS Sky Survey Atlas to construct a catalog of G alactic dark clouds and their associated Young Stellar Objects (YSOs). From IRAS 100 and 60 mu m data we calculate images of the 100 mu m op tical depth distribution in the clouds. Using the IRAS Faint Source Ca talog we identify sources which have colors indicative of YSOs and hav e positions that lie inside cloud boundaries in the optical depth imag es. Here we present some preliminary results of applying this analysis to the Chamaeleon dark cloud complex.
