Abstract
This paper defines Total Quality Management (TQM) and discusses its gr owing popularity in Higher Education. The use of TQM in improving qual ity and customer service in undergraduate admissions at one comprehens ive university is then described. The article focuses on the benefits and challenges of using TQM, first from the perspective of the manager responsible for TQM, then from the perspective of a front-line staff member and TQM team member.
