Network management becomes increasingly important as LAN-based private networks are globalized and become more complicated We have developed a Management integration (MI) architecture as a framework for the int egration of different types of management and ha ve applied if to crea te the basic structure of an integrated management station as an examp le of how it can be used. We have also developed an integration techno logy based on rule description for management information transfer ser vice, a technology for implementing OSI system management functions, a nd a management service customizing technology using a service simulat or Prototype evaluations have demonstrated the validity of each of the se technologies.
