We report a patient who had a callosal infarct, showed by Computer Tom
ography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging, without injury to the adjacent
hemispheres. Angiography revealed an occlusion of both internal carot
id arteries. Besides interhemispheric disconnection with unilateral le
ft agraphia, left tactile anemia, left ideomotor apraxia and left ear
auditivoverbal extinction, the patient showed signs of left hemineglec
t and astasia-abasia, both persistent.
