Teller Acuity Cards are a new procedure for evaluation of visual acuit
y in newborns and infants. We assess by this test 60 healthy term newb
orns followed up every 3 months from birth to one year of age. Acuity
values of our sample are compared and agree with those of authors. The
y are the first Italian data referred to a group of healthy term newbo
rns. This procedure is easy to apply in clinic evaluation; it is not i
nvasive, repeatable, fast and accurate and it can be used from birth u
ntil pre-school age.
