A STUDY OF THE CONFORMATION OF SOME BETA- BLOCKERS

An improved procedure has been established for the confirmation of som e beta-blockers in doping control analysis. The derivatives of the dru gs and their metabolites have very similar mass spectra and retention time in our previous work, and it's very difficult to distinguish them . The derivatization and the extraction are performed simultaneously b y using phosgene as the derivatization reagent in the new procedure. T he new derivatives in this paper have very characteristic mass spectra , and are easy to be confirmed.
