Abstract
A review is provided on the use of fetal blood sampling during pregnan cy. Informations on the technique, its indications, risks and benefits are provided. In addition, the application of fetal blood sampling in cases of intrauterine growth retardation as well as some metabolic fe atures of intrauterine life are discussed.
