Abstract
Tetanus remains a major worldwide public health problem. New borns and infants in developing countries are most concerned by this high morta lity. Only the adult disease does exist currently in developed countri es. In France the low prevalence of tetanus is due to a high quality p ost-exposure prevention, much more than to the immunization coverage : this coverage should be improved.
