T. Yoshikawa et F. Inoko, DEFORMATION AND RECRYSTALLIZATION IN SILV ER BICRYSTALS WITH DIFFERENT TENSILE DIRECTIONS, Nippon Kinzoku Gakkaishi, 59(4), 1995, pp. 366-372
In order to clarify the effect of activated slip systems on recrystall
ization along a grain boundary, two kinds of 99.999 mass% silver bicry
stal specimens which have the same grain boundary and different tensil
e directions were prepared. When they were deformed in tension to a st
rain of 0.3, the grain boundaries were changed into different ones wit
h different structures because of the operation of different slip syst
ems. After annealing, recrystallized grains were formed mainly through
twinning and sometimes through the [111] rotation mechanism, along th
e grain boundary toward which dislocations with a large screw componen
t pile up.
