Abstract
Incisional hernia following laparoscopic surgery is seldom reported un less further complication arises and the presentation is usually late. A case of early incisional hernia following a laparoscopic ovarian cy stectomy was reported. The hernia occurred through a 10/11 mm trocar p ort 3 days after the operation. Awareness of this clinical problem, it s relationship to the site of abdominal entry, possible enlargement of the fascial defect during operation and hence the need of meticulous closure of the fascia when a large trocar is used will avoid such occu rrence.
