Abstract
The TEC gene encodes for a novel orphan nuclear receptor. Recently it has been shown to be involved in the recurrent t(9;22) translocation o bserved in extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma, in a fusion gene with the EWS gene [1, 2]. We report here on its precise localization on chr omosome 9 by fluorescence in situ hybridization.
