Rs. Hamilton et al., SULFUR AND NITROGEN PARTICULATE POLLUTANT DEPOSITION ON TO BUILDING SURFACES, Science of the total environment, 167, 1995, pp. 57-66
Results are presented for the fluxes of sulphur and nitrogen to the su
rfaces of three historic buildings in the UK. The relative importance
of wet and dry deposition are considered and it is shown that dry depo
sition was the dominant input mechanism at these sites. The gaseous fo
rm contributed most of the flux and the contribution from particulate-
associated matter was small. Gas-particle relationships for sulphur ar
e examined in detail.
