The fast O+(P-3(1)) and slow 1(P-3(2)) relaxed exciplex KrAr emission
s near 9.26 eV (134 nm) have been observed in a large density and temp
erature range. The band half widths are found to be only temperature d
ependent, a result similar to that previously reported for the rare ga
s excimers (homonuclear), and revealing a very week environmental infl
uence. From a simple model we derive omega(e) = 60 cm(-1) for the vibr
ational constant and Delta(O) = 2400 cm(-1) for the width extrapolated
at O Kelvin.
