MULTIPLE NEUROFIBROMAS OF THE SPINAL NERVE ROOTS

This report describes a rare case of a suspected neurofibromatosis typ e 1 patient who had multiple bilateral spinal neurofibromas from the c ervical to the sacral spinal dorsal nerve roots. The lesions were read ily detected by MR imaging and the largest tumour was successfully res ected. We provide a brief review of the literature, emphasising the us efulness of MR imaging in the diagnosis and evaluation of spinal neuro fibromas.
