Abstract
We describe a patient with rapidly progressive Whipple's disease confi ned to the central nervous system (CNS). The diagnosis was made pre-mo rtem following stereotactic and open brain biopsies and confirmed at a utopsy. Despite appropriate antibiotic treatment, the disease ran a fu lminant course to death after nine weeks.
