Abstract
The accumulation of platinum metals in sulfide disseminated gold ores and native gold in carbonaceous shales is considered. Three mineral fo rms of platinum metals are recognised in the ores: 1) dispersed trace elements in the carboniferous matter and in sulfides, 2) trace element s in host minerals (native gold and silver, tellurides of gold and nic kel), 3) as a separate mineral of predominant platinum group element.
