Abstract
We measured the telomere length in patients with chronic hepatitis or liver cirrhosis and found a significant telomere shortening in the liv er with chronic liver disease compared to that in the normal liver. Th e telomere length tended to decrease with the progression of chronic l iver disease. (C) 1995 Academic Press, Inc.
