I. Poschmann et Hj. Mcqueen, SUBGRAIN DISTRIBUTIONS IN ALUMINUM DEFORMED UNDER HOT-WORKING CONDITIONS, Physica status solidi. a, Applied research, 149(1), 1995, pp. 341-348
Aluminium of commercial purity is deformed under hot working condition
s at a strain rate of 1.16 s(-1) and at temperatures of 300, 350, 400,
450, and 500 degrees C up to a strain of epsilon = 0.9. TEM observati
on reveals a well developed subgrain structure. The sizes of the subgr
ains obey a log-normal distribution with an increasing fraction of ver
y large subgrains as the temperature rises. A strong interrelation bet
ween stress, temperature, and distribution-related parameters is found
.
