Abstract
The Letter describes a new method to correct for gain and phase imbala nces in LINC transmitters. A direct-search scheme is used to adjust ga in and phase in one amplifier branch, guided by the measured output si gnal in adjacent channels. The functionality of the method has been ve rified by means of simulation.
