We use a semiclassical treatment of the coupled-channels problem to st
udy the Coulomb dissociation of Li-11 projectiles on a heavy target. T
he comparison of pur predictions with the data show good agreement for
the energy spectrum and qualitative agreement for the velocity distri
bution. The effect of going beyond the dipole term of the electromagne
tic coupling is studied and other improvements over the calculations p
resented in a previous work are also considered.
