THE ON-FIELD APPLICATION OF A MEASUREMENT TEST SET FOR THE CHARACTERIZATION OF ELECTRICAL DRIVES FOR LINEAR MOTION

In this paper an automatic test set, which allows electrical drives ba sed on the Linear Induction Motor (LIM) to be characterized, is propos ed, It allows one to measure the main electrical and mechanical quanti ties, also not directly accessible, such as air-gap flux density, thru st and current density in the secondary sheet. The work is completed w ith experimental results connected to the use of the proposed measurin g system on a double-sided LIM prototype.
