Ninety-three hours of photoelectric photometry of FG Vir were obtained
during 1985 and 1986. Seven frequencies of pulsation with significant
detections could be extracted from the photometry. The seven detected
frequencies agree with those found in a larger, independent photometr
ic study by Breger et al. [A&A, 271, 482 (1993)] carried out during 19
93, in which ten frequencies were found. The present data also show th
e eighth and ninth frequencies found during 1993, but below the signal
-to-noise limit of significance adopted in our studies. The y amplitud
es determined from the present work and the 1993 data agreed to +/- 1.
0 mmag, suggesting that no significant amplitude variations occurred d
uring the eight years. For the dominant frequency of 12.72 c/d a phase
shift of phi(b-y) - phi(y) = -7-degrees is found, compatible with a n
onradial p mode of l = 1 and 2.
