A NEW METHOD OF ANALYSIS FOR PARAMETER DESIGN IN QUALITY ENGINEERING

For many engineers and researchers in industry, analysis of variance a nd related hypothesis testing for parameter design proposed by Taguchi are not easy for them to use. In this paper, a quick and easy method to analyze the results of parameter design is proposed and discussed. lit this method, an analyzing sheet is presented, in which the signifi cance of factors and interactions can be evaluated by Pareto-type anal ysis. With this sheet, it is also possible to obtain the optimal level s of factors. A case study in a Korean semiconductor company is used a s an illustration.
