Abstract
Oligonucleotides with novel, cationic backbone substituents have been prepared. Dinucleotide aminoethylphosphonates have been synthesized an d the isomers were separated and used to prepare oligonucleotides with alternating positive and negative charges. The properties of these ol igonucleotides have been examined.
