Abstract
One-to-one inclusion compounds of beta-cyclodextrin(beta-CD, host) wit h (eta(5)-pyrrolyl)tricarbonylmanganese(I) and its analogues(guests) w ere obtained in a crystalline state and characterized by elemental ana lysis, H-1 NMR and IR spectra, and DSC measurements. The host-guest in clusion compounds are thermally stable and do not liberate the guest o n heating at 110 degrees C in vacuo. These represent the first example s of cyclodextrin inclusion compounds with transition metal heterocycl ic complexes.
