Prenatal ultrasonography is a useful and important tool in the correct
identification of abdominal wall defects. The differential diagnosis
consists of omphalocele, gastroschisis, umbilical hernia, bladder or c
loacal extrophy, urachal cyst, allantoic cyst, and omphalomesenteric d
uct abnormalities.(1-10) We present a case of a vesico- allantoic abdo
minal wall defect detected in early pregnancy and its changing ultraso
nographic appearance as pregnancy progressed.
