Abstract
Pt-Ru/WO3 electrodes were prepared by electrodepositing in an alcohol- containing solution. The resulting electrodes showed higher catalytic activity toward CO oxidation than Pt-Ru electrodes in acidic electroly te. A type of weakly adsorbed CO was observed on such electrodes which can be oxidized at lower anodic potentials. It was found that tempera ture strongly affects the equilibrium coverage of CO, which is lower a t higher temperatures.
