Abstract
In human affairs, brokers are intermediaries with specialized knowledg e who work toward a mutually desirable outcome through negotiation. Th e QOS Broker is a software engineering technique that uses this princi ple to arrange for the delivery of end-to-end quality of service in di stributed multimedia systems. An experimental prototype using a telero botics application helped identify the technique's limitations and sys tem requirements.
