Abstract
A case of Stage IV endometrial squamous cell carcinoma occurring 8 yea rs after a low anterior resection and whole pelvic radiation therapy f or a Dukes D colon carcinoma is presented. Koilocytosis was present in the tumor. There was no evidence of human papillomavirus antigen or D NA in the tumor. The patient was treated with surgery followed by six cycles of carboplatin chemotherapy. At the completion of chemotherapy there was no clinical or radiological evidence of disease. The tumor r ecurred 9 months postchemotherapy and the patient died of disease 17 m onths postdiagnosis. (C) 1995 Academic Press, Inc.
